Meet Your Attorney
Attorney David W. Brookshire was raised in Gordon County Georgia. He attended Calhoun High School where he graduated in 1994. After high school, David attended LaGrange College where he played collegiate baseball. He graduated from LaGrange College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. David received his Juris Doctor in 2004 from the John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Ga. During law school, David completed an internship with the Dekalb County Public Defender’s Office. After graduating from law school, David worked as a general practice attorney for a real estate firm out of Dalton, Ga. David handled numerous real estate closings and refinances, as well as all of the firm’s non-real estate legal matters.
David then joined a firm in Cartersville, Ga. where he worked as a general practice attorney. At this firm, David handled all of the criminal, personal injury and medical malpractice cases. He also handled many cases involving both civil and juvenile matters, primarily focusing on matters of family law. David also represented his firm in many bankruptcy matters in Federal Court. In 2012, David decided to open his own firm and the Law Office of David W. Brookshire, P.C. was established.
Mr. Brookshire handles most criminal cases ranging from traffic offenses to serious felony cases. David handles numerous domestic cases and will vigorously advocate on behalf of his clients in matters regarding divorce, child custody and modifications. David represents juvenile clients and clients in deprivation cases in the Cherokee Judicial Circuit, as well as numerous circuits throughout Northwest Georgia. David also represents clients in bankruptcy court.
David is a member of the Cartersville Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association.
